Bring the whole family for a day full of free fun and learning. Watch demonstrators recreate medieval life, witness falconry flying demonstrations, play medieval games, have fun at the drop in medieval make and do workshop, and find treasures at the Artisan Food & Craft Market.

Arriving in Loughrea in 1300, the Carmelites have played a big part in the life of our town. Meet the Carmelites at a unique Candlelit Medieval Latin Mass, and hymns, in the ruins of the Old Carmelite Abbey.

Take a step back in time, and partake in an evening of Medieval inspired food and wines, merriment, music, and entertainment at the festival Opening Ceremony Medieval Banquet at the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa.
